Riverside Installs Duplo Collating Machine
The Riverside Group installed a Duplo tower single-sheet collating machine along with a new inline spot gluing unit that promises to offer faster production for direct mail projects, the company said.According to The Riverside Group, Rochester, NY, the new collator will reduce project turnaround time. The machine has four towers with 10 pockets each, and each tower can be loaded and run independently for increased throughput.
The towers also can be run sequentially for decreased load times on larger jobs, Riverside said. The machine can handle stock sizes from 4.7-by-5.5 inches to 14-by-20 inches.
The new gluing unit is a four-head machine that can be expanded to six gluing units, which allows six glue spots to be applied simultaneously at full production speed.
