Riverside Company Acquires Auto Parts DMer

Stylin' Concepts, a direct marketer of parts and accessories for trucks and sport compact cars, has been acquired by The Riverside Company.


Stylin' Concepts, Independence, OH, markets 100,000 SKUs via six catalog titles, two Web sites and a retail location. It reported 332 percent growth since 1999 under the ownership of John Milos, who will remain president of the company. The company will stay in Independence.


Its products include exterior accessories such as hood shields and brush guards as well as cosmetic interior items and $2,500 suspension kits. Some will spend up to $20,000 to customize a truck.


The acquisition represents an addition to portfolio holding company Automotive Specialty Accessories and Parts, formed by Riverside. It is Riverside's ninth acquisition this year and the 74th since the firm's start in 1988.
