Ritz Interactive Inc., which runs RitzCamera.com for Ritz Camera Centers Inc., has bought rival online retailer PhotoAlley.com.

The acquisition, whose terms were not disclosed, comes after Ritz Interactive's October purchase of WolfCamera.com, the online arm of photographic products retailer Wolf Camera.

"We look forward to maintaining the strong community aspect that has made PhotoAlley.com such a popular destination, while considerably increasing the product selection and e-commerce functionality," Fred H. Lerner, president/CEO of Ritz Interactive, said in a statement.

PhotoAlley.com will retain its identity and Web address, Lerner said.

Launched in April 1999, Ritz Interactive has become a key e-commerce player in the photographic and marine industries. It owns online stores like RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com and BoatersWorld. The company's content-only community sites include FishingOnly.com, BoatingOnly.com and Photography.com.

RitzCamera.com and WolfCamera.com are the No. 1 and No. 2 photo specialty retail stores online, Ritz Interactive claims.
