Return Path, New York, announced the availability yesterday of its 90-Day Consumer Category Preference List through its PostMasterDirect division. This double-opt-in e-mail list is sourced from the 400 Web sites in Return Path's partner network.

Hotline categories include free stuff, books, consumer electronics, movies/entertainment, computers, music, games, employment, health/fitness and investing/finance. Each category varies in the number of names available, and the overall 90-day hotline totals more than 1.5 million names. Base price for the file is $100/M.

The list also serves as a consumer interest index identifying the top categories consumers requested receiving e-mail about during the current 90-day period. The top five categories were consumer electronics, downloads, travel/leisure, college students and movies/entertainment.
