Retailers join GSI loyalty program in time for holidays

Consumers will have new shipping and return options this holiday shopping season from Borders, Barnes & Noble and Drugstore.com, all of which have joined the ShopRunner loyalty program from GSI Commerce.

The program will offer shoppers unlimited two-day shipping and returns across those brands' e-commerce websites, according to The Wall Street Journal, which pointed out that the service will be available at launch for more than 1 million items.

The platform will also give companies another incentive to attract consumers. “It offers us a marketing option that we hadn't had available, Mike Edwards, CEO of Borders, told the Journal.
