RespondTV Restructures to Fit Current Market

RespondTV, an interactive television advertising company, announced that it is reducing overall expenses to restructure the company in correspondence with current market conditions.

The company said it would make unspecified headcount and expense reductions. The cuts are being made due to delays in the market deployment of set-top box interactive television systems.

RespondTV, San Francisco, said it is turning its focus to additional product lines and emphasizing the development of end-to-end infrastructure for interactive television. The company is restructuring its operations to fit current television technology in the United States and Europe. RespondTV said it has hired Peter Woods, who managed the rollout of Enhanced TV for European interactive television provider NTL, to lead an effort to develop digital infrastructure in Europe.
