RespondTV Developing Ad Applications for New Program

Interactive TV provider RespondTV Inc., San Francisco, announced this week that it was developing several advertising applications for its just-launched National Charter Advertising Program.

The applications will allow viewers with special set-top boxes - such as WebTV or LiberateTV - and remote controls to obtain additional information and go to local sales outlets to order products.

RespondTV also announced it had patent-pending technology that would better handle audience surges. According to the company, the technology will also offer a state-of-the-art database and a response management system. The company believes these new abilities will increase agency membership for its National Charter Advertising Program.
