Report: Red Herring to Cease Publication

The March issue of technology magazine Red Herring will be its last, according to a Wall Street Journal report Friday. The report said the publication's parent firm, RHC Media Inc., told its 31 staff members the news that day.

In addition, the firm hired investment bank DeSilva & Phillips to sell the magazine's assets, which include its file of subscribers.

Reportedly, the original intention was to find a buyer to keep the title going but that did not come to pass. It is unclear who might buy Red Herring's assets.
