ReliaStar Opens IHateFinancialPlanning.com

ReliaStar Financial Corp., Minneapolis, Friday said it launched IHateFinancialPlanning.com.


The financial Web site is designed to provide objective information on financial planning topics. Users can invest in a series of mutual funds available through the site, obtain a financial plan by phone or obtain a referral to a planning professional in their area.


The site is geared toward consumers who don't like financial planning and want simplicity in their buying experience.


The site will be sponsor the Public Television Show, "Right on the Money," as part of its initial promotion, and in turn, the TV show will advertise on IHFP's Web site.


In addition, the company plans to link IHFP to company network sites as part of a pilot marketing program in May.


Heavy promotion of the site will be launched in the fall when the company plans to add a full range of financial options to the site.
