REI Uses Hosted Web Analytics From Coremetrics

Coremetrics, a provider of hosted Web analytics, marketing and merchandising solutions, said yesterday that Recreational Equipment Inc. implemented Coremetrics' solution to track and analyze online customer and visitor behavior on the rei.com and rei-outlet.com sites.

REI, Kent, WA, is a retail cooperative that outfits its 2.5 million members for outdoor activities. REI operates retail stores nationwide and REI Adventures, a travel company. REI offers products for camping, climbing, cycling, hiking, outdoor fitness, paddling, snow sports and travel, including its own line of gear and apparel.

Coremetrics, San Mateo, CA, will provide REI with an understanding of site visitor behavior, allowing for enhanced Web site navigation, effective merchandising of products online and increased customer satisfaction.
