Reed Smith Bolsters Ad Law Practice

Starting this month, 21 attorneys from Hall Dickler LLP have joined Reed Smith LLP to create what is claimed to be the nation's largest advertising law practice across all ad and marketing law disciplines.


Hall Dickler's New York and Beverly Hills, CA, offices have been absorbed by Reed Smith's New York, Los Angeles and Century City, CA, offices. The New York practice will operate under the Reed Smith Hall Dickler name.


Doug Wood heads the combined firm's advertising and marketing law group. He also is general counsel of the Association of National Advertisers and the author of several advertising law books. In addition, he is founder chairman of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance.


Reed Smith boasts about 1,000 lawyers in 16 U.S. and British cities, representing clients across industries and disciplines.


Hall Dickler had clients in ad and promotions agencies, agency networks and ad associations. The firm also served media and entertainment firms on their ad, marketing and promotion campaigns and corporate operations.


Reed Smith Hall Dickler will continue to publish Adlaw by Request, an online weekly newsletter covering developments in advertising.
