Real Media Sets Stakes on Latin America

Real Media, New York, will open a Miami office in expectations of increased business within its Latin American operations. Real Media Latin America said it also would collaborate with the Latin American rep firm Charney/Palacios & Co., Miami, for its print advertising and to help introduce advertisers to the Real Media Network.

Greg Gendron, who has been appointed managing director of Real Media Latin America, said the Latin American online population "is growing at a faster pace than the Internet population at large."

Grace Palacios, president of Charney/Palacios & Co., said it was a natural progression for the two to come together. "We have been following each other's progress for years," she said. Charney/Palacios represents titles throughout South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Accounts include major daily and financial newspapers as well as the leading consumer, business, trade and in-flight magazines.
