Razorfish deal could expand the agency globally

Exciting news today for Razorfish, being bought by Publicis. It seems to make a lot more sense for the agency to be a part of the holding company that has such a focus on digital advertising, than living in Microsoft's technology world. While it is still early to say how it will play out logistically, I was speaking with Razorfish CEO Bob Lord today and he mentioned that there is potential to grow the brand globally in places where it doesn't have a presence but Publicis does. The first place that came to Lord's mind was India, where currently Razorfish has no presence but Publicis is big. Would be interesting to see what Razorfish's creative bunch would bring to that emerging market. Still, this is all just speculation. We'll have to wait and see...
