RandMcNally.com maps out ad platform with Travel Ad Network partnership

Mapping and driving directions Web site RandMcNally.com has tapped Travel Ad Network, a vertical ad network focusing on travel, as its exclusive sales representative.

With this partnership, RandMcNally.com will be able to serve ads from Travel Ad Network partners including American Airlines, British Airways, Best Western and Royal Caribbean to its 1.5 million monthly unique visitors.

The agreement brings the Travel Ad Network user base up to 10 million unique users. Other Travel Ad Network partners include LonelyPlanet.com and RoughGuide.com.

"Rand McNally represents one of the best known travel guides and for us it is an extension of our business model to reach a larger audience," said Cree Lawson, founder and CEO of Travel Ad Network.

Founded in 1856, Rand McNally is one of North America's largest commercial producers of national and local maps, street guides and atlases. The firm owns a number of brands including The Thomas Guide, Goode's World Atlas; StreetFinder Wireless and IntelliRoute.
