*Quintus to Acquire Mustang, Leverage Online Delivery

Customer care provider Quintus Corp. yesterday said it would acquire e-mail management solution firm Mustang.com for about $290 million in stock.


Quintus, Fremont, CA, said it would leverage the online-hosted services model that Mustang.com, Bakersfield, CA, recently unveiled for its products. Jim Harrer, president/CEO of Mustang.com, will become president of Quintus Online.


The two companies will have more than 750 customers and more than 24,000 e-mail response stations.
