Quad/Graphics cuts 100 jobs

Printer Quad/Graphics laid off 100 of its employees on August 13. The employees were primarily based in the Sussex, WI, plant and mostly in administrative positions, though manager of corporate communications, Claire Ho, said some were in production support positions.

“The downturn in the economy appears to be continuing on longer than anyone previously anticipated,” Ho said. “We're being proactive in how were addressing what's happening with the economy and the industry.”

Quad/Graphics has offices across the country and in Argentina, Brazil and Poland. In total it has more than 12,000 employees.

The staff reductions were “tough but necessary,” Ho said. “Now we're able to focus on serving customers and moving forward with other business building initiatives.
