QAS, Ecometry Offer Address-Quality System

Software vendors QAS and Ecometry Corp. have integrated their address management systems to help call centers improve efficiency and reduce return rates for catalogs and packages, the companies said yesterday.


QuickAddress for Ecometry combines QAS' QuickAddress Pro address management software with Ecometry's Commerce Suite of business applications. This allows call center and data entry operators to use QuickAddress within the Ecometry user interface to verify new and existing addresses against U.S Postal Service records while a customer is still on the phone. The system also works in conjunction with Web sites, ensuring that only valid, correctly formatted addresses enter the user's database.


So far, has been deployed by 35 catalogers and retailers, including Massage Warehouse, a mail-order company distributing massage-therapy products, and Huppin's/One Call, a retail and mail-order company specializing in home theater, video and camera sales.


QAS is based in Boston while Ecometry is based in Delray Beach, FL.
