Ad network Q Interactive has acquired permission-based marketing firm Vente from Experian. The deal, signed October 1, is Q Interactive's second acquisition in three months. It bought e-mail firm Postmaster Direct in July.

Matt Wise, president and CEO of Q Interactive, would not disclose financial terms of the Vente deal. He said it happened "very quickly" and that the companies opened dialogue two months ago.

Wise said this acquisition is an effort to better position Q Interactive in lead-generation and e-mail.

“Both Vente and Postmaster Direct had two things we found attractive: the fact that they are both clean players in the lead-gen and e-mail space with a high level of respect for consumer privacy and permission, and that their product offerings were closely aligned with ours,” he said.

Wise said no staff changes will be made. He added that it's still unclear if Vente will retain its branding or be absorbed into the Q Interactive brand.

Q Interactive has about 1,500 clients including Disney, JCPenney and Procter & Gamble. Vente has a roster of about 800 clients.

“We're hoping to expand advertising relationships by offering additional capabilities to each other's clients,” Wise said.

A Vente spokesperson said that an executive was not immediately available to speak on the topic. Matthew Besler, spokesperson for Experian, said the company declined comment on the matter.
