Publicis Groupe acquires Swiss digital agency

Global communications firm Publicis Groupe has acquired Nemos, a Zurich-based digital agency that focuses on multimedia and Flash programming. The agency will be integrated into Publicis Modem Switzerland and aligned with Publicis Modem, Publicis Worldwide's digital branch.

Nemos was founded in 2002 and has 10 employees. Its clients include Carlsberg, Movenpick and Condor Films.

Pascale Urscheler, Nemos' former CEO, and Marion Marxer, former senior brand director of Publicis in Zurich, will co-head the new Publicis Modem Switzerland. They will report to Freddy Collioud, president of Publicis Switzerland.

Publicis Modem offers conceptual and creative services, Web site development, social media and mobile marketing.

Last year, Publicis Modem also expanded into Korea though its acquisition of Portfolio. The company has about 1,200 employees with 40 offices worldwide.
