Zairmail Inc., an electronic-to-postal mail service, will offer its direct mail services on Microsoft Corp.'s bCentral, a site based on the new .Net platform designed to help small businesses better manage their processes.
Customers of bCentral who want to send direct mail now need only to upload their Microsoft Word file and address list. The mailing is routed to a secure facility near the recipient, printed and inserted using high-volume production equipment. It is then presented to the post office for immediate delivery.
Called Zairmail Express Direct, the service is available at bCentral's resource center on http://www.bcentral.com/resource/marketing.asp.
This way, bCentral users will be able to improve sales and marketing efforts, Portland, OR-based Zairmail said.
The deal with bCentral expands a relationship with Microsoft. In May, Zairmail struck an alliance to offer its direct mail services on Microsoft's Tools on the Web site.
Zairmail's Express Direct service also can be accessed through the Tools on the Web pull-down menu in the Microsoft XP suite.
