Bowne Extends On-Demand Capabilities

Share this content:
Multinational printing firm Bowne & Co. Inc., New York, recently added two digital on-demand-printing production lines to its Carlstadt, NJ, facility.

The production lines are using on-demand printers called DemandStream 8090DI and IBIS DigiStitcher DS2000, made by Oce Printing Systems USA, Boca Raton, FL.

The printers allow Bowne to source data for documents and to format them for the Web.

The systems also can produce small or large runs of both statement or saddle stitched booklets in various weights and sizes. The digital inline saddle stitching requires no additional set up, which, according to Bowne, has sped up its printing service.
