Product Puts Whiteboard Content on Web

Electronics For Imaging Inc. expects to showcase its eBeam product on June 21 through the first of a series of Webcasts to be aired live at e-beam.com.

eBeam is basically two pods that can be attached to a standard whiteboard. The user plugs the pods into his computer. A standard marker is then placed within the eBeam marker system. Then everything that is written on the whiteboard can be broadcast in real time from any Windows-based PC.

The company is sending out several hundred e-mails to members of the high-tech industry as well as marketers to invite them to view the Webcast. Other guest speakers will appear in the near future.

Electronics For Imaging, Foster City, CA, is currently in the midst of its "Hold that Thought" marketing campaign. Print ads are running in Business Week, the Wall Street Journal and a number of other publications. Television commercials will air later this summer. eBeam costs $549.
