Potter Appoints Vice President for Strategic Direction

Postmaster General John E. Potter has appointed Ralph Moden as vice president of strategic planning.


Moden will coordinate the development of plans and analyses contributing to the U.S. Postal Service's strategic direction. Moden also will be responsible for developing the postal service's transformation plan. The document, which details the future vision of the organization, will be presented to Congress April 4.


Moden's postal service career spans 27 years. He has held numerous positions including serving as acting vice president for strategic planning since October 2001.
