Potpourri Holdings purchases catalog operator
Massachusetts-based Potpourri Holdings announced Friday that it had bought the assets of catalog operator In the Company of Dogs. The purchase marks the eleventh title acquisition the company has made over the last three years.The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are very excited about adding this premium niche catalog to our portfolio," Potpourri CEO Jack Rosenfeld said. "Because of the strong strategic fit, we will be able to manage this business by utilizing our existing talent, supplemented by two experienced members of ICOD."
In the Company of Dogs is viewed as the premium catalog in the dog product/gift field, offering high quality items as well as dog-themed apparel and home furnishings.
Potpourri, which boasted more than $100 million in earnings last year, also owns such titles as Catalog Favorites, Expressions, The Stitchery, Nature's Jewelry and Back in the Saddle.
