Pitney Bowes PSI opens site in California

Pitney Bowes PSI, a leading mail presorter, has opened a new site in Sacramento, CA, which expands Pitney Bowes PSI's presence to northern California. It is the 34th location in its national mail presort services network.

The facility has the capacity to presort 1 million pieces of First-Class and Standard Mail every day. The 14,000-sq.-ft. center will initially employ 12 people. The site will provide the company with an opportunity to help area customers reduce their overall postage expenses and meet their needs through tailored presort mail solutions.

Presort services enable medium and large mailers to qualify for discounts on their postage by aggregating mail from multiple sources and then sorting it by ZIP code before it enters the Postal Service network. These services not only make it less expensive to send mail, but also speed delivery by up to one day depending on the destination.
