Pitney Bowes Buys Danka Canada

Pitney Bowes on Friday purchased Danka Canada Inc., a provider of office services, supplies and equipment to Canadian businesses, for $14 million.

Danka Canada will be incorporated into Pitney Bowes' Canadian operations, which offer mail and document management products. The acquisition will broaden Pitney Bowes' geographic coverage in Canada and its range of direct service offerings, Pitney Bowes said.

Danka Canada, Toronto, was a subsidiary of Danka Business Systems PLC, with 300 employees and 20 offices across Canada. The company generated about $36 million in revenue during its past fiscal year.
