Phoenix Footwear Hooks Chambers Belt

Phoenix Footwear Group Inc. acquired Chambers Belt Company, Carlsbad, CA-based Phoenix said yesterday.


Chambers, Phoenix, was founded in 1947 and manufactures and distributes men's, women's and children's belts and accessories. Its products can be found in retail outlets such as Wal-Mart and Nordstrom. The company posted full-year 2004 revenue of $40 million.


Phoenix markets men's and women's footwear, outdoors sportswear and travel apparel under the brands Trotter, SoftWalk, Strol, H.S. Trask and Altama. Its products are sold mainly through department stores, specialty retailers and catalogs.


With the addition of Chambers, Phoenix expects to report overall revenue of $100 million to $110 million in 2005.
