Performix Buys Rival Call Center Tech Firm

Performix Technologies, a provider of call center employee management technology, purchased smaller Atlanta-based rival Cliffstone Corp. in a stock-for-stock deal, Performix said yesterday.


The transaction's financial value was not disclosed. Performix picked up 14 of Cliffstone's clients from the transaction, including American Express, Sprint, DirecTV and SBC.


Performix also takes ownership of Cliffstone's Prism business performance management solution. Cliffstone founder/CEO Stephen Beckett will join Performix as vice president of product strategy.


Performix was founded in 1998 in Dublin, Ireland, and moved its headquarters to Burlington, MA. It has operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland and North America.
