Performance Bicycle turns to SolutionSet for CRM

Retailer Performance Bicycle has named SolutionSet its CRM and database marketing agency for its in-store, catalog and Internet commerce businesses.

The company selected SolutionSet without an RFP. Cindy Marshall, CMO at the specialty retailer, had previously worked with I-Centrix, which SolutionSet acquired in 2008, before coming on board at Performance. Performance Bicycle and SolutionSet began working together November 1.

“After a discovery period in October, we're in process now of doing an audit of all the data,” Marshall said. “We're sending nightly data files, and SolutionSet is updating the database weekly. We plan to go live with the rebuilt database at the end of February.”

Performance already works with an analytics and database supplier, which Marshall declined to name, but the company did not previously have a CRM company on its roster. Creative is done in-house. The budget and length of the agreement with SolutionSet are undisclosed.

The retailer named Direct Media Millard manager of the Performance Bicycle lists and insert programs last year. It began working with customer rating service PowerReviews in 2006.
