Peregrine, Accenture Join to Market BTB Software

Peregrine Systems and Accenture, a provider of management and technology consulting services and solutions, will team to market business-to-business software that they say will help industry-sponsored marketplaces to realize liquidity.

Under terms of the agreement, which was announced yesterday, Peregrine will become a preferred provider for Accenture's BTB solutions. Peregrine offers relationship management, including supplier on-ramping, connectivity and business process integration, with an initial focus on delivering hosted data transformation and network services.

According to the companies, the Accenture solution will help bring marketplaces to the masses and will assist them in quickly realizing liquidity through a combination of prepackaged and customized software components, addressing marketplace connections. Quadrem, a BTB marketplace for mining, minerals and metals, is the first industry-sponsored marketplace to have selected the solution.

Peregrine said it will host the solution's connectivity, data transformation and supplier enablement applications on its e-business portal, Get2Connect. In addition, Peregrine will offer its software and service offerings, including enterprise application integration, business process integration, catalog and content management and other value-added business services for collaborative BTB relationship management.
