David Lane, president and co-founder of advertising/marketing agency LevLane, has been elected board chair of the environmental organization PennFuture, Harrisburg, PA. He replaces Virginia Brown, who resigned to pursue other interests. Lane has been a PennFuture board member since 2004.

Vertis Communications has appointed Carmen Allen SVP of human resources. She was previously at Bausch & Lomb for 13 years, most recently serving as vice president of human resources for global business operations. 

PJA Advertising + Marketing has hired Dave Sandstedt as associate creative director. He had been owner and partner at Coull Sandstedt creative since 2007.

Interactive agency ClickSquared Inc. has named former Compete executive Joyce Bell to the position of chief financial officer. Bell previously held the same position at Compete.
