PennWell Awards List Management to StatlisticsPennWell's advanced technology division is expected to assign list management duties for its publication files to Statlistics effective today.
The move to Statlistics marks a major change for PennWell. Previously, PennWell had always managed the files inhouse.
"We saw this as an opportunity to increase our revenues and control overhead," said Gloria S. Adams, director of audience development in the Advanced Technology Division at PennWell, Nashua, NH. "We looked at a lot of firms and Statlistics had great synergies with our lists."
The PennWell advanced technology division files consist of more than 940,000 executives who subscribe to one or more of PennWell's business-to-business publications.
The files include Advanced Packaging, Cabling Installation and Maintenance, CleanRooms, Color Publishing, Computer Artist, Computer Graphics World, Connector Specifier, Data Storage, Digital Magic, Electronic Publishing, Electronic Systems Technology and Design (formerly Computer Design), Image Processing Europe, Industrial Laser Solutions (formerly Industrial Laser Review), Infostor, Integrated Communications Design, Laser Focus World, Lightwave, Military and Aerospace Electronics, Networking Management, OSP Engineering and Construction (formerly Cable Foreman), Palm Computing Platform, PennWell High-Tech Database, PennWell High-Tech Professional Women, PennWell International Database, Portable Design, Solid State Technology, Surface Mount Technology, Vacuum and Thinfilm, VB Tech Journal, Vision Systems Design, WDM Solutions, Windows NT Users (and Backoffice),Windows Tech Journal and Wireless Integration.
In addition, Statlistics has taken over management of 16 e-mail files, which were previously managed at IDG Communications List Services, Framingham, MA.
According to John Papalia, president of Statlistics Inc., Danbury, CT, the partnership is a good fit.
"We have a lot of affinity between their publications and our client base. It makes sense," he said.
