Peabody Puts Info at Sales Staff's Fingertips

New England-based Peabody Office Furniture has chosen Isovia, a provider of mobile business services and applications, to extend its wireless capability for staff members, Peabody said yesterday.

Peabody's sales consultants will soon be able to access the company's catalog and pricing information through portable devices, including those powered by Microsoft Windows, Palm hand-held devices and other mobile services.

The access will allow company representatives to make product and pricing decisions during a visit with Peabody clients.

"As our customers demand quicker turnaround time and more informed decisions from us, it only makes sense for us to give our sales and design consultants the tools they need to initiate and close a sale," said Jonathan Peabody, president of Peabody Office Furniture.
