PCsupport.com Completes MyHelpdesk Purchase

PCsupport.com Inc. yesterday announced the completion of its acquisition of fellow computer support firm MyHelpdesk Inc., Norwood, MA.

MyHelpdesk received 1.5 million shares of PCsupport common stock, which closed yesterday at 93 cents per share.

PCsupport, Norwood, MA, gains MyHelpdesk's proprietary search engine/wizard that can either answer users' questions concerning computers or direct the viewer to the manufacturer's support page at its Web site. PCsupport is now offering advanced support in annual subscriptions for $150 because of the deal.

The majority of MyHelpdesk's executive staff has joined PCsupport, said Emilia Naydenova, spokeswoman for PCsupport.

To accommodate the acquisition, PCsupport has restructured some of its marketing plans. For example, the company will maintain its consumer site, at www.pcsupport.com, but will not actively promote it.
