Payless ShoeSource promotes DeSantis to CMO

Payless ShoeSource has named Vincent DeSantis SVP and CMO. He will oversee global branding, CRM and digital initiatives, including mobile marketing and social media.

He will report to LuAnn Via, CEO of the company.

DeSantis most recently served as division SVP of marketing at the company, which is a unit of Collective Brands. He joined the company three years ago as VP of consumer and brand marketing. DeSantis previously worked as VP of customer acquisition marketing at Sprint Nextel.

Payless brands include Airwalk, Champion, Dexter and American Eagle by Payless.

A Payless representative could not be immediately reached for comment.
