Palm Beach Agency Executive Makes Run for Money

Rita Johnson, founder and president of Palm Beach Media Associates Inc., will raise $50,000 for the Children's Home Society of Florida with her participation in the Marine Corps Marathon.

The marathon will take place Oct. 29 in Washington, DC.

Ms. Johnson has already completed several marathons including the Boston Marathon and Palm Beach. In the past year she has raised more than $80,000 for Child Place at Homesafe, March of Dimes, Hearts of Hope and America in Motion with her participation.

Ms. Johnson pursues donations and pledges for her running from individuals and organizations. They are accepted at her Web site at www.pbmai.com/rrr.

Palm Beach Media Associates is a boutique-marketing agency located in Boca Raton, FL. Ms. Johnson is also a past chairperson of the American Heart Association for Palm Beach, a member of the Boca Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of the Palm Beaches.

She also is chairwoman and organizer for the Marathon of Palm Beaches Sports and Fitness Expo.
