PacifiCare Health, Compaq Start Site for Seniors

PacifiCare Health Systems and Compaq Computer Corp. said yesterday they will form an Internet company for senior citizens.


The new company, SeniorCo, will be based in Irvine, CA, and will operate Senior.com, which will include information and e-commerce geared to senior citizens' interests. The site will include financial services, health, travel and leisure information. Seniors also will be able to purchase bundled Compaq computer goods through the site. Both companies will jointly own the new venture.
