Oracle's NetLedger Changes Name to NetSuite

NetLedger Inc., an Oracle Corp. subsidiary selling enterprise and CRM software to midsized companies, changed its name to NetSuite Inc.

The new name, announced yesterday, was inspired by the San Mateo, CA, company's NetSuite ERP, CRM and e-commerce business application. Introduced a year ago, the NetSuite product is used by 7,000 customers.

Delivered as an online service, NetSuite manages all key business processes in a single system.

NetSuite Inc. also offers Oracle Small Business Suite for small companies under license from Oracle.

Meanwhile, NetSuite Inc. enhanced its flagship application with a new version, NetSuite 9.0. Also, the company is embedding UPS Shipping Tools to help midsized companies with streamlined shipping management and simplified order tracking.
