Oracle Completes Asset Purchase of Sigma Dynamics

Oracle Corp. plans to acquire the intellectual property assets of Sigma Dynamics, a provider of real-time predictive analytics technology.

Financial details were not disclosed in Oracle's Aug. 23 announcement

The company said it expects the deal will enhance its Oracle Business Intelligence Suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware.

Redwood Shores, CA-based Oracle  said Sigma Dynamics' Real-time Decision software combines customer insight and business requirements to make the best recommendation in each customer interaction and operational decision by adapting to changing information.

Key decision applications include real-time offer management, field service optimization, predictive call routing and fraud detection.

Sigma Dynamics is the technology foundation for Oracle's Siebel Real-Time Decisions product within the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite. Oracle plans to continue making Sigma Dynamics' technology offerings available as a standalone and in conjunction with Oracle's full range of enterprise applications.
