Oracle Acquires Versatility

Oracle Corp., whose headquarters are in Red Shores, CA, acquired Versatility Inc., in a cash merger worth $12 million. Oracle officials said the acquisition will add a call center system with outbound telesales and telemarketing to its own inbound service call application.

Versatility's system integrates computer telephony-enabled service, customer care and telephone sales applications for call routing, predictive dialing, third party control, coordinated call transfers and screen synchronization.

In the merger, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, Versatility stockholders are expected to receive $1.50 per share owned.
