Financial services firm Wells Fargo & Co., San Francisco, in partnership with First Data Corp., Atlanta, an e-commerce and payment services company, this week began to sell services that allow small and mid-sized businesses to build e-commerce stores for themselves.

According to research firm Keenan Vision Inc., San Francisco, there is a lot of money to be made in this arena. The One-Stop eStore offering is part of the $205 billion bank's effort to increase its online presence to rival heavily trafficked sites such as Yahoo. However, Wells Fargo has no plans to run an ad campaign at this time, although it plans to start one by year-end.

Free until Nov. 15, One-Stop will then cost $200 for the initial fee and $49 per month or $99 per month thereafter, depending on the services required.
