Onside Software Offers Customizing for Sporting Goods Industry
Onside, New York -- a provider of real-time visual customization and digital order technology -- has introduced onsidekick.com, sales support software for the sporting goods industry.Its first user will be Merkley Headgear, a supplier of ski headwear, which will use the software to design, order and track shipments of hats and caps. The company will sell its products through a Web interface. Onside said this would reduce cost and production time without the need for additional hardware, software or employees.
Onsidekick.com's users can offer consumers the ability to design custom products using 3-D models and a rules-based engine. This includes the ability to view changes made to lifelike virtual samples of a designed product. The system then generates the order and provides instant dissemination of all production and logistics specifications via a digital bill of goods.
