Online Questionnaire Helps BTB Customers Fill Orders

Software firm fourthchannel Inc. this week unveiled its profitbuilder program designed to guide online business customers to the products they are looking for by asking them a series of questions.

Fourthchannel will market the product to assemble-to-order manufacturers and distributors that use the Internet to receiver orders. The company, based in Columbus, OH, has competition in this sector from business-to-business software companies Calico Inc., Trilogy Inc. and Selectica Inc.

Fourthchannel Chairman/CEO Jonathon York said the products being put out by those companies were more expensive than profitbuilder and lack Web-based management abilities. Calico, Selectica and Trilogy were contacted about the claims but were unable to respond.

Profitbuilder is set to be released in the next two months. Pricing will be based on the size and specifications of each order.
