Online Direct Marketers Beat IT Firms

Traditional IT and networking companies could get left behind as new media marketing and e-commerce specialists continue to develop commercial Web sites and portals, drawing them nearer the heart of each application than IT integrators, network operators and ISPs in the Web solutions market, according to a research report from BRC Consultancy, London.


In its report released last week, the firm outlines the components of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and e-commerce solutions, cataloging the existing leading suppliers and describing which components each type is best able to provide.
