O&M's Direct and Interactive Arms Will Use Vianet

Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide's OgilvyOne Worldwide direct marketing and OgilvyInteractive units have allied with Vianet Technologies Inc., a provider of visual media delivery technology.

Both Ogilvy arms will partner with Vianet, New York, to develop online marketing applications that include streaming media capabilities. Vianet's technology allows users with both high and low bandwidth to access high-resolution video content.

Using Vianet's technology, Ogilvy, New York, will create interactive communications vehicles. For example, the agency could e-mail a coupon along with a video clip of a new product.
