Diversified Agency Services, an arm of ad agency holding company Omnicom Group Inc., announced yesterday the purchase of mobile marketing services and technology firm ipsh.

The deal strengthens New York-based Omnicom's presence in the growing mobile marketing area. Terms of the deal were not announced.

Launched in June 2001, ipsh implements mobile marketing campaigns for clients across industries. Ipsh supplied the technology.

Ipsh has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco. CEO Nihal Mehta and chief technology officer Mike Jelley come with the deal.
