Olympic Committee Picks Footlocker to Design Catalog, Web Site

The U.S. Olympic Committee, Colorado Springs, CO, signed an agreement with Footlocker.com yesterday to design the official catalog and manage the official online store of the U.S. Olympic Team for the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, set this year for Athens, to be followed by Beijing in four years.

The deal also includes the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

It is expected that Footlocker.com's customer base will bring U.S. Olympic Team apparel into the homes of more than 20 million consumers through the Web site and catalogs.

The product offerings through the online store, www.usolympicshop.com, will be coordinated in conjunction with the apparel catalog series that will roll out later this month. The catalogs will feature Olympians and 2004 U.S. Olympic Team hopefuls, along with licensees such as Adidas and Aminco.
