OgilvyOne Worldwide appoints new president

Who it is: Gunther Schumacher, named president of customer engagement agency OgilvyOne Worldwide. The appointment is in addition to his current role as company COO. Four new board members were also appointed: Angel Chen, president of OgilvyOne China; Patou Nuytemans, chief digital officer for Ogilvy Europe, Africa and Middle East; Sam Williams-Thomas, CEO of OgilvyOne London; and Sean Muzzy, CEO of Neo@Ogilvy North America.

What's his role: Schumacher will help OgilvyOne Worldwide's global growth. He will work closely with OgilvyOne clients to help guide them through increasingly technological and data-centric challenges.

Where was he prior: Schumacher has served as COO of OgilvyOne Worldwide over the past three years.

Why was he appointed: “It has also become increasingly clear through his work on clients like Kimberly-Clark and initiatives like ecommerce that Gunther's mandate and capabilities extend far beyond ‘operations.'
