OgilvyOne Gets California Foundation

OgilvyOne Worldwide, New York, has been selected to provide strategic consulting, corporate positioning and direct marketing for financial products of the Los Angeles-based nonprofit grant foundation California Community Foundation.

The assignment, which will be handled from the agency's Los Angeles office, will include promoting a new charitable annuities product and a "Create a Will" public education campaign.

The foundation, which has assets of $325 million and awarded $38 million in grants to Los Angeles nonprofits last year, selected OgilvyOne because of the agency's understanding of the market and audience it wants to reach, said Jack Shakely, the foundation's president.

"We were looking for a partner who could help elevate the California Community Foundation's identity in the financial brokerage industry," he said, "and position our new Community Life Annuity product with customers, analysts and industry leaders."
