Ogilvy partners with Technorati for social media

Ogilvy North America, a unit of the Ogilvy Group agency network, is allying with Technorati to provide clients with blogs, video blogs, videos, photos and other online user-generated media.

The agency will use the Technorati Conversational Marketing System to offer tools, strategies and tactics for clients to syndicate content, participate in interactive dialogues and build relationships with online communities key to their brands.

Ogilvy, New York, has already used blogs for clients like IBM, Cisco and SAP as part of their branding efforts. Kodak is now interested in using Technorati's services through Ogilvy.

The Technorati Conversational Marketing System lets users build advertising, destination Web sites and communities that incorporate or link to blog posts associated with the advertisers' brands. Ogilvy creative directors work with brands to create these social media sites and advertising.
